Costume Information
a note from Ms. Victoria......
“My Favorite Things” Musical Costume Notice
All Upper Grade Cast members must have a box clearly
marked with your name, with a lid by NEXT WEEK.
Any personal items that you have for your costumes must be labeled
and checked in by the costume team.
Girls: It is a good idea to have a leotard, tank top or undershirt for costume changes.
Ideas of items to look for at home:
•black jazz shoes
• black tie up/dress shoes or black flats
• cowboy boots
•White, puffy sleeve, button down tops with a collar
•Calico print button down tops
•Bandanas
•Cowboy hats
•Long, full skirts, (denim/calico/solid)
•Levis(boys)
Get ready to dance!
Props and Carpenters Needed.
Also, we wonder if there may be some talented carpenter (not the singer) among us that might be able to build some long, sturdy picnic benches; Durable enough for 4 kids at a time to stand and even dance on.
The props are:
4 large milk crates (or something similar)
a saddle
a butter churner
Director's chair
a couch (sort of old fashioned, long enough to squeeze 5 or so)
not picky, any couch may work
rocking chair
2 fancy seat covers (usually used for dinning chairs at weddings etc..)
a bike that appears older that may work for Sound of music
long rope for cowboys
bails of hay
23 days and counting.....
